February 26, 2009 - Industry City Council certifies a Revised Final Supplemental EIR and approves the Revised Plan of Development for the stadium project by a vote of 5-0. The City of Walnut retained Kosmont Companies to evaluate the Ecomonic and Fisal Impact Analysis prepared by Economic Research Associates for the City of Industry. September 3, 2008 – A draft supplemental Environmental Impact Report (EIR) is now available for public review.
Project Location: The proposed site is on the eastern boundary of the City of Industry in Los Angeles County. It is generally located along the north side of the Pomona (SR-60) Freeway and the Orange (SR-57) Freeway, and south of Valley Boulevard. Diamond Bar borders the eastern and western property line and extends the length of the property on the south side of the SR-60 Freeway. Pomona lies at the far northeastern tip of the suite and Walnut is located to the northwest. Access is provided via the Grand Avenue exit from both SR 57/60 freeways.
Project Description: The proposed NFL stadium will anchor nearly 3 million square feet of mixed-use (entertainment, retail, commercial, office) development. Also planned for the project site are up to four NFL practice fields, an NFL training facility, and sports medical clinic.
